What can I say? Beach bums have the right idea. Powerball could make this dream come true. Until then I will savor every moment and notice every sign and synchronicity. I will listen to the birds and water and the wind and the silence! Time here is winding down. We walked the beach to town and did a little shopping. We purposely waited until after Carnaval. It seems they throw things at everyone; eggs, paint, confetti! Heard it got pretty crazy. They are not supposed to throw paint at tourists but really, how could you avoid it?
Day started slowly with breakfast on the beach. Then lounging on the beach. And of course rum punch on the beach. Boy will I miss this life. Two kids came by and yelled to come look at a starfish so of course I did. They had a little board with bead gecko key chains that they were selling for 8 Belize dollars. Of course I bought one. They chatted awhile asking questions about where we were from and what we liked to eat and then they were off.
The rays come in to be fed at night. Pets?
Walking back to the hotel. The beach is so quiet. I forgot to mention that there are no waves coming in because the barrier reef is around this side of the island. You can see them break quite a way out.
