I was trying to add a picture of Bunny to the previous post but for some reason the picture disappeared! I walked across the street to the lodge where I had to perch on the stair landing and I guess cross my fingers and pat my head! The desk clerk finally went upstairs and turned the router off and on. Voila! Bunny’s picture reappeared! So here she is. She sent this photo as she was leaving to make a presentation to the elementary school.
We stopped at Fremont Indian State Park on our way south to Panguitch. We really didn’t know what to expect, but it was a beautiful park with more petroglyphs than I have ever seen. Very educational, we hiked around the park for five hours. We learned that a petroglyph is art carved into the rock and pictographs are paintings or drawings in colors using mineral pigments and plant dyes. The Fremont Indians disappeared around 1250 AD.
Cowboy Smokehouse for dinner, no wine just beer! We got the everything special with beef, ribs, and sausage. Yum! Dessert was bread pudding, oh my! We are full and sleepy. Looking forward to tomorrow’s adventure to Zion National Park.
