More beautiful skies in Isla. Dan and I took a drive over to Madeira, art and food for lunch. The burgers are rated best on the island. They did not lie! The smashed baked potato with a secret sauce was the perfect side. I shopped a little and we walked across to catch another glimpse of the Caribbean Sea. Look closely at the rocks below and you can see our shadows!
Can we grow aloe this big at home?
We walked next door to Sunset Grill for dinner. Everyone had the Greek Island fish and I had grilled chicken. We shared a key lime pie. Perfect finish to the day with a nightcap at Skull’s and off to bed.
Thank you Phil Martin! It was an awesome trip and an unforgettable 35th anniversary!
We made it to Isle Mujeres, an island off Cancun Mexico. We are staying at our friend Phil’s place, Skulls Landing. What a crazy day we had. Phil owns several places here and we first went to the bar (of course) and then Phil took us to another of his places. The guys had a swim and we had a drink. We came back to Skulls to watch Alabama win big. The adventure is just beginning!
The fabulous Phillip Martin.
Before we left they had run short on lobster so they called the lobster man! Photo above, bringing in fresh lobster.
Look out my window!
We came out of the resort restaurant Monday night and the ocean was this beautiful pink! The sun sets around 8:30 in Myrtle Beach. Of course the beach faces the east. I had my phone and snapped these photos. They were not altered in any way! I took the elevator to our condo on the 17th floor and looked out to the west. This glorious fireball sun was behind the clouds. Quite a contrast from the soft, silky pink on the other side.
I should note that the pink sea photos were taken at 8:36 and 8:37, and the fireball sun was taken at 8:41 pm.
