Thought you might enjoy the cluster of flowers that caught my attention yesterday. And might I add that I love my iPhone. Not only does it have an app to clock my mileage as I walk, it has an awesome camera! That’s so nice for me because I carry a camera almost everywhere I go and now I can take some great photos without my big Canon camera weighing me down. Makes for some good spontaneous shots! If you have a phone with a camera, try using it when you see something that captures your attention. It’s a moment frozen in time. It costs you nothing because it is digital. It is yours to share or to view in private. Oh how I love the 21st century!
Go out and enjoy the beauty of the world!
It is autumn in Tennessee. Beautiful, crisp, cool, autumn is truly breathtaking. The trees of the fall here are bathed in the hot, sensuous, fire like colors of red, orange and gold. Their fiery energy dominates the landscape on a cold autumn morning. My attention today however, was drawn to this beautiful patch of flowers. What color are they anyway? Pink, fuchsia, pepto bismol pink? They were absolutely gorgeous and quit refreshing in a park full of red and gold. Sometimes it’s good to be different and to stand out in a crowd. Listen to your own voice. Be yourself and don’t let anyone tell you how you should be, look, or act. Sometimes you just gotta be pink in a sea of gold!
Poems from the drawing above:
I’m light as a feather and I don’t care
I’m light as a feather and walking on air
I’m light as a feather and I’d like to share
But only to positive am I aware….
I’m light as a feather and I’d like to share
Death is the rest between lives
Death is the rest before the next life
Take the quiet and prepare to be even more amazed in the next one.
Each life is (like) a single day with new rocks and trees
A whole new sun and sky!
Live like today is THE day!
Throw caution to the wind
And dare to feel.
Feel yourself and allow yourself to feel.
Just because you try to turn off the negative, doesn’t mean you must stop feeling!
“WITH ONLY A FEW SECONDS of focusing your attention on a subject, you activate the vibration of that subject within you, and immediately the Law of Attraction begins to respond to that activation. The longer you keep your attention focused on something, the easier it becomes for you to continue to focus upon it because you are attracting, through the Law of Attraction, other thoughts or vibrations that are the essence of the thought you began with.”
Jerry and Ester Hicks
As I was walking by the river, the sparkle of the water through the trees caught my eye. Again using my iPhone, I just stopped for a few minutes and watched the light dance as the river continued its journey through Nashville. I thought about the quote above, and so for 68 seconds I just sat and focused on the light and my breath. For 68 seconds my mind was clear and quiet. Try it. You will be amazed how good you will feel, even if it’s for just 68 seconds!
How many times have you wanted to scream out loud? If you could go out into the woods, or off to the beach, or into the middle of a crowded city street and let it all go, would you feel better inside? You should try it sometime. We don’t all live in a place where we can go to an isolated place and launch some primal scream out into the infinite universe in order to release some stuck energy deep within our soul. We can however go into a room, close the door, grab a pillow and let it go. Therapist have been suggesting this for years. It is a great stress release. Beat the pillow and imagine it is the person or situation you are frustrated With. It won’t hurt the pillow at all. It won’t hurt your hand and it’s better than putting your fist through the wall. Keeping thoughts and feelings locked in a cage only hurts you. Let the caged scream fly free!
La La La La La…I can’t hear you! Sometimes we scream so loudly that we don’t hear anyone else’s screams. Take a break. Silence the voices inside your head and listen to what others have to say. That doesn’t mean you always have to follow their advice. Just stop and listen. Maybe they are trying to help. They might say something that could comfort you if you just let them.
Words are like arrows. They come at you without warning out of nowhere. How do you react? The words alone cannot physically harm you unless they are written on a real live baseball bat! Sometimes people send out words before they fully process their impact on the receiver. The receiver takes those words and in turn processes them in his or her own way. Do you actually think about your words before they leave your mouth? How do you receive someone’s words? Once put out in the cosmos, words are there forever, just floating around in space. Will those words dissipate like cosmic moths, or will they come back to bite you in the ass?
